Tristan André Parks

Tristan André Parks is a Southern, black, queer artist, born and raised of and by Nashville, Tennessee. An art maker, organizer and “social justice front line worker,” Parks received his MFA in Acting from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Professional Actor Training Program, and his BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Memphis.

Parks presented They Do Not Know Harlem: In Communion with James Baldwin, a story about one of America’s most prolific writers and an African-American gay man. Parks’ work explores race, literature, and sexuality through gospel and dance.
